Afternoon Program

At the end of the academic day, students choose among the extracurricular activities offered in the Afternoon Program.

Middle School

Students in grades 6-8 are required to participate in the Afternoon Program all three terms.

Middle school students are dismissed at 3:40 p.m. daily. On occasion, travel to away sports games may keep students past 3:40 p.m.

Upper School

Students in ninth and tenth grade are required to participate in the Afternoon Program all three terms. Eleventh and Twelfth graders may opt to take one of the three terms off.

Students may choose to participate in interscholastic sports or other activities, such as theater, community service, yoga, robotics, math team, or visual arts. Ninth and Tenth graders are required to play a team sport at least one of the three terms. Eleventh and Twelfth graders are required to participate in a team sport or a fitness activity at least one of the three terms.

The Afternoon Program runs from 3:40 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily (in the winter term some teams practice later, and games may run later in all seasons).
